This book was great fun to read due to its rollicking plot and outrageously cheeky central character. Most of the characters are rather typed, but the lively dialogue and overall pace compensate more than adequately.

The "hero" is another Dudley-Dress-Right, tall, masterfully composed, masterfully muscled, well-tailored, fragrant, dazzling, etc., etc., etc.
In this book, I actually don't mind the stereotypical hero because the book has the feel of a fairy tale; one expects archetypes.

I'm not a big fan of the genre, but I read this on a whim, and I actually loved it. It was far more rich and complex than the typical romance novel, funny, and witty as well. I would have read it even if the author weren't my big sister.
